Our Altar Guild prepares the altar for Mass, baptisms, funerals, and the changing liturgical seasons. They wash and iron linens, maintain vestments, communion vessels and candles. In short, they keep St. Thomas looking glorious. If you’d like to be a part of this crucial ministry, contact Tana Knopf, email@example.com; or Sandy Schmidt, firstname.lastname@example.org.
St. Thomas encourages parishioners to become involved in one or more of our liturgical ministries, including acolytes, chalice ministers, Eucharistic visitors, lay readers, ushers and vergers. Training will be provided. For information, contact Deacon Sally Megeath, email@example.com.
This group is responsible for food, hospitality, and related details for events for our members, which support, sustain and enliven the community in times of joy and sorrow. If you enjoy this type of ministry, contact Kathi Atkins (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Susan Eaton (email@example.com).
Every year our members are asked to pledge their time, talent and treasure to sustain and promote the work of church. Our Stewardship committee oversees this annual pledge drive, as well as creating an awareness of year-round stewardship. For more information about the work of this group, contact chairwoman Michelle Cooney, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our team of compassionate caregivers reaches out to our members who are in need of extra support at critical times in their lives. The pastoral care committee offers services to those who are experiencing health problems, those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, those facing on-going challenges, as well as those who are in acute crisis. To learn more, contact chairwoman Vicki Earnest, email@example.com.
The Men of the Church generally meet on the second Saturday morning of each month for breakfast. They listen to a thought-provoking speaker and afterward have the opportunity to engage in a round of golf together. They also sponsor such activities as our summer barbecue and the parish’s Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner, and from time-to-time do work projects around the church. Information: Steve Hubka,
